Master class on crocheting small amigurumi toys—a bull and a cow—by Elena Emelyanova. The author used a 1.0 mm crochet hook and acrylic yarn to make the bulls. The finished toy is about 8 cm tall. The final size of the product will depend on the thickness of the yarn, the size of the hook, and the tightness of your stitching.
Materials Needed:
- Yarn “Pekhorka Bead”: white, milky, dark brown, pink. For clothing: pink, blue
- 1.0 mm crochet hook
- Hollow fiber stuffing
- Needle with a wide eye
- “Moment” glue
- Black half-beads
- Black sewing thread
Crocheting Bull and Cow Amigurumi
Legend:
- ch — chain stitch
- sl st — slip stitch
- sc — single crochet
- inc — increase (crochet 2 sc in 1 stitch)
- dec — decrease (crochet 2 sc together)
- dc2tog — double crochet together
- hdc — half double crochet
The number in brackets at the end of each row shows how many stitches should be in that row.
Arms (crocheted with dark brown yarn) (2 pieces)
1st row: Chain 2 and crochet 8 sc into the second chain from the hook.
2nd row: 8 sc
3rd row: Switch yarn to beige, crochet 8 sc
4th-6th row: 8 sc
7th row: (2 sc, dec) * 2 (6)
8th-10th row: 6 sc
Finish with a sl st, fold the row in half, and crochet 3 sc through both layers.
Head + Body + Legs (crocheted with white yarn)
Start by crocheting the head. If you want to crochet the arms into the body, you can do so at this stage.
1st row: Chain 2 and crochet 6 sc into the second chain from the hook.
