2. (1 sc, inc) ×3 = 9
3. (2 sc, inc) ×3 = 12
4. (3 sc, inc) ×3 = 15
5. (4 sc, inc) ×3 = 18
6. (5 sc, inc) ×3 = 21
7. 21 sc
8. (6 sc, inc) ×3 = 24
9. 24 sc, change yarn to white
10. 24 sc, change yarn to green
11. (dec, 10 sc) ×2 = 22

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew the back sides together (see photos).
Use black yarn to embroider watermelon seeds.
Glue on eyes and attach a keychain clasp.
