Free Amigurumi Frog with Belly Crochet Pattern

Difficulty Level: Easy

With this pattern, you can crochet a small frog using plush yarn. The author recommends YarnArt Dolce and LaVita Yarn Velur. The entire toy is crocheted as one piece, starting with the belly. The legs are crocheted in the process. The nose and cheeks are embroidered with smooth thread. For eyes, you can use half-beads (sewn or glued) or safety eyes. The frog can be used as a keychain and is quick and easy to make.

The finished frog toy measures approximately 8-10 cm.

Pattern for Crocheting a Frog with a Belly

  1. 9 sc in KA
  2. 9 inc (18), change color
  3. (2 sc, inc) x 5, leg (3 ch, starting from the second ch, hdc, sc), 2 sc, inc (24)
  4. 3 sc, leg, 4 sc, leg, 9 sc, leg, 8 sc (24)
  5. 9 sc, eye (in one stitch, 4 dc2tog with a common top), 3 sc, eye, 10 sc (24)
  6. 24 sc. If the frog seems too thin, crochet one more round of 24 sc.

  8. 8 dec (8) + 2 dec, sc

Stuff the toy, close the opening, and hide the yarn ends (I bring the end out between the eyes, then secure it along with the ends from the mouth).

Glue or insert the half-beads or safety eyes between the dc2tog, embroider the mouth and cheeks, secure and hide the threads.

Your crocheted little frog is ready!
