Pattern for the Amigurumi Lemur

Start by crocheting the tail with the fluffy yarn:

  • Chain 20 and work 19 slip stitches back along the chain.
  • You can then connect it to the body in Round 4, on the last sc of that round.

Begin crocheting from the bottom of the body:

  1. Work 8 sc in a magic ring.
  2. 8 increases (16 sc).
  3. (1 sc, inc) x 8 times (24 sc).
  4. 8 sc, and start the foot: From the 8th stitch, chain 5, and work (2 ch, sl st into 5th chain) x 3 times, then 4 sl st down the chain. Then, continue 8 sc for the other leg, work 7 sc, and on the last sc, attach the tail (secure yarn ends inside) (24 sc).
    5-6. Work straight: 24 sc.
  5. 8 sc, 4 dec (middle of the body), 5 sc, dec, sc (19 sc).
  6. Sc, dec, 16 sc (18 sc).
  7. 7 sc (foot), 6 sc (other foot), 5 sc (18 sc).
  8. (sc, dec) x 6 times (12 sc).
  9. (sc, inc) x 6 times (18 sc).
  10. Work straight: 18 sc.
  11. 10 sc, switch to black for the face: In 1 sc, work 4 dc with a shared top (cluster), 7 sc (18 sc).
  12. 8 sc, for the eyes (in yellow or orange): In 1 sc, work 3 dc with a shared top (cluster), 3 sc (center), another eye, 5 sc (18 sc).
  13. (sc, dec) x 6 times (12 sc).
  14. 6 dec (close the opening).

Ears:

Attach white yarn opposite the eyes, spaced 2 sc apart.

In one stitch, work:

  • sc, hdc, dc, ch 1, dc, hdc, sc.
  • Cut and hide the ends.
  • Crochet the second ear symmetrically.

Scarf (for the fluffy chest):

Chain 5 and work back and forth in rows of 4 sc for the desired length, turning and chaining 1 at the end of each row. Once finished, stitch the ends together with the hook.

Facial Detailing:

  • Add a black outline around the eyes, securing with a bit of glue.
  • Attach the pupils and nose.
