Free hamster and donut amigurumi pattern

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

This free pattern by Viktoria Loginova (@lapochkatoys) allows you to crochet a plush hamster with a donut. Suitable for any plush yarn like Himalaya Dolphin Baby, YarnArt Dolce, etc. All parts of the hamster are worked in spirals. The face is embroidered and eyes are attached with safety backs. The yarn usage is approximately half a skein for the hamster and even less for the donut.

The finished toy size is about 20 cm.

Materials and Tools:

  • Yarn: Himalaya Dolphin Baby or similar; brown for the hamster (about half a skein) and a couple of colors for the donut
  • Pink thread for the nose and brown for the eyebrows
  • 3 mm crochet hook (for the hamster) and 4 mm hook (for the donut)
  • Safety eyes 12 mm
  • Toy stuffing
  • Stitch markers
  • Pins
  • Needle for sewing parts
  • Scissors

Stuff the cheeks firmly. Attach eyes between rows 8 and 9. Make indentations on both sides.

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew the ears starting from the 3rd row, spaced 6 rows apart.
