Wings (2 pieces)
In 1 front loop: crochet 2 sc, 1 hdc
In the 2nd front loop: dc, 2 tr, dc
In the 3rd front loop: crochet 1 hdc, 2 sc
Then crochet 24 sc and the second wing:
In the 28th front loop: crochet 2 sc, 1 hdc
In the 29th front loop: dc, 2 tr, dc
In the 30th front loop: crochet 1 hdc, 2 sc
And another 24 sc.
In the 17th round, sc over the wings in the back loops of the stitches. A total of 54 sc in the round.
Round 21: (7 sc, dec) x 6 (48)
Round 22: 48 sc
Round 23: (6 sc, dec) x 6 (42)
Round 24: 42 sc
Round 25: (5 sc, dec) x 6 (36)
Round 26: 36 sc
Round 27: (4 sc, dec) x 6 (30)
Round 28: 30 sc
Stuff the piece. Then, I close the crochet by folding the piece in half and crocheting 15 sc.
Ears
For “feathered ears,” I either attach them as tassels or crochet: 3 chains of 10 ch each, close them into rings in the first and last stitches of the row.
Eyes (2 pieces)
I usually crochet with white yarn, but you can use any other color.
Round 1: KA 6 (sc) (6)
Round 2: (inc) x 6 (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Round 4: 18 sc (Christmas)
I attach the eyes and beak with a hot glue gun. You can also sew or embroider them. You can sew or glue bows, flowers, beads, etc., on the ears.
