  • inc — increase
  • dec — decrease
  • repeat (a certain number of times)

Body:
Begin with turquoise yarn.
Row 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6 sc)
Row 2: inc6 times (12 sc) Rows 3-4: work without changes (12 sc) Change to green yarn. Row 5: (sc, inc)6 times (18 sc)
Rows 6-8: work without changes (18 sc)
Change to blue yarn.
Rows 9-12: work without changes (18 sc)
Change to dark blue yarn.
Row 13: (2 sc, inc)6 times (24 sc) Rows 14-16: work without changes (24 sc) Change to light blue yarn. Rows 17-20: work without changes (24 sc) Continue with blue yarn. Row 21: (3 sc, inc)6 times (30 sc)

Upper Jaw:
Knit with turquoise yarn.
Begin knitting from the point on the body where you fastened off (in row 40). Knit in rows (not in the round).
Row 1: ch, 14 sc, turn (14 sc)
Rows 2-14: ch 1, 14 sc, turn (14 sc)
Row 15: ch 1, dec, 10 sc, dec (12 sc)
Row 16: ch 1, dec, 8 sc, dec (10 sc)
Row 17: ch 1, dec, 6 sc, dec (8 sc)
Row 18: ch 1, dec, 4 sc, dec (6 sc)
Row 19: work without changes (6 sc)
Fasten off.
Attach turquoise yarn to the edge of the upper jaw (corner of the mouth) and crochet along the edge, secure the jaw with a slip stitch on the opposite side of the mouth (other corner of the mouth).
