Continue crocheting the head. Crochet in the front loops only to make the head more voluminous. The first stitch of the 12th row is crocheted with a decrease (pull one loop from the corner between the body and the head, and the second loop from the first stitch of the 12th row). This is necessary to avoid a hole.

- (2 sc, dec) x 4, sc (13)
Insert eyes (8-9 mm) between the 13th and 14th rows (3 stitches between the eyes). Stuff the head. - dec x 6, sc (7)
Pass a needle through the front loops of the previous row. Pull the yarn tight, secure, and hide the end.
Beak:
Turn the duck head down. Attach orange yarn to the 12th row of the head (reference: the center of the eye or slightly closer to the middle). Make a ch and crochet along the fabric, moving to the left: 3 hdc, ch and ss into the stitch where the last hdc was crocheted. Pull the yarn ends to the center under the beak, tie 2 knots, and hide inside.
P.S. I used sew-on eyes of 9 mm. I inserted the needle into the center of the KA (1st row), thereby making a pull. If using regular safety eyes, additional tightening is necessary. You can lightly powder the cheeks with dry pastel.
Your crocheted little duckling is ready!
