Difficulty Level: Easy
This pattern will guide you in crocheting a plush octopus. The octopus is crocheted as one piece with large eyes. Any plush or velour yarn and a 4 mm hook can be used. The spots on the head are crocheted from cotton or semi-cotton yarn. The body begins from the head and then transitions to the body, with the bottom part crocheted separately. The tentacles are crocheted directly onto the body. Large 25 mm eyes are recommended. You can make eyes from felt or crochet them if desired.
The finished octopus is about the size of a hand.

8-17. 42 sc (10 rounds) - 6 sc, inc x 6 (48)
19-22. 48 sc (4 rounds)
Insert eyes between the 12th and 13th rounds with 10 sc in between (without securing them yet). Firmly stuff the octopus.
- Take the bottom piece and crochet it together with the body using 48 sc. Do not cut the yarn; continue to crochet the tentacles as follows:
- 5 dc in one stitch, sl st in the next stitch, then 2 sc.
- 5 hdc in one stitch, sl st in the next stitch, then 2 sc.
- 5 tr in one stitch, sl st in the next stitch, then 2 sc.
Continue this pattern until the end of the round. When you crochet the second-to-last tentacle, crochet 3 sc instead of 2. Finally, cut and hide the yarn.
Create eye indentations by pulling the thread through, and embroider the whites of the eyes with white plush yarn. Then, embroider the mouth between the 15th and 16th rounds. The mouth covers 3 sc.
Spots

First Spot:

Second Spot:
