Materials needed:
- Grey yarn “Alaska” by Nako
- White and pink acrylic yarn
- Crochet hook No. 2
- A pair of eyes (black half-beads)
- Decorations (a bow)
- A bit of synthetic stuffing
You also need to know how to crochet ovals, circles, and triangles. There are no specific patterns.
It’s quite simple—just 17 pieces and a bit of imagination.
We will crochet the following pieces:
1 circle — body (crocheted in 4 rounds of DC, grey yarn)
2 ovals — head (crocheted in 4 rounds of SC, 1 round of DC, grey yarn)
1 oval — face (crocheted in 4 rounds of SC, white yarn)
2 triangles — ears (crocheted 1st row: 2 DC, 1 TR, 2 DC in one stitch; 2nd row: SC, grey yarn)
2 triangles — inner part of the ears (chain 6, decrease on the sides, pink yarn)
4 paws — (crochet like a half-oval, 2 rows of SC, grey yarn. The front paws are slightly longer. Chain 8 for front paws and 6 for hind paws)
4 paw pads — (2 circles of 10 DC in a magic ring; 2 semi-circles of 8 DC in one stitch)
1 tail — chain the desired length (mine is 15 chains). To make the tail curl, crochet it in a zigzag: decrease by 3 stitches in one place, increase by 3 stitches in another.
Sew the paw pads to the paws and the pink triangles to the ears. Embroider the tip of the tail with white yarn.
Crochet 2 ovals for the head, inserting the ears between them. Stuff the head with synthetic filling and crochet the remaining part.
Design the face: sew on the white part and stuff it slightly with synthetic filling. Pinch the face slightly in the center and embroider the whiskers and nose. Attach the eyes.
Crochet the head, front paws, and body in one piece. The hind paws and tail are also crocheted on.
Decorate your cat with a bow or however your imagination suggests.
A wonderful gift is ready!
