Free Amigurumi Bunny and Doggie crochet pattern

You will need a 4 mm crochet hook and YarnArt Dolce yarn. The bunny is about 25 cm, and the doggie is 20 cm.

Bunny and Doggie crochet toys

This pattern can also be used to crochet bears, kittens, and other animals by changing the ears.

Materials needed:

  • Plush yarn YarnArt Dolce, Himalaya Dolphin Baby, or other (0.5 skein). You can also crochet using Alize Softy yarn held double.
  • Crochet hook 4.0 mm (or the one comfortable for you)
  • Safety eyes
  • Matching yarn for sewing the parts
  • Yarn for shaping the muzzle
  • Yarn for crocheting a scarf or satin ribbon
  • Stuffing material

Abbreviations:

  • CH – chain stitch
  • SC – single crochet
  • DC – double crochet
  • INC – increase
  • DEC – decrease

LEGS + BODY

Start crocheting from the back legs.
Stuff gradually as you crochet.

1st round: CH 2, 6 SC into the second chain from the hook (6)
2nd round: 6 INC (12)
Rounds 3-6: (4 rounds) 12 SC (12).
Cut the yarn. Crochet the second piece similarly.

On the second leg, do not cut the yarn, CH 2, and join it to the first leg.

7th round: Crochet 12 SC on one leg, 2 SC on the CH 2 chain, 12 SC on the other leg, 2 SC on the other side of the CH 2 chain, totaling 28 SC (28)
Rounds 8-10: 28 SC (28)
11th round: (5 SC, DEC)4 (24) Rounds 12-13: 24 SC (24) 14th round: (4 SC, DEC)4 (20)
Rounds 15-16: 20 SC (20)
17th round: (8 SC, DEC)*2 (18)
18th round: 18 SC

Do not cut the yarn. Begin crocheting the head:
19th round: 18 INC (36)
Rounds 20-22: 36 SC (36)
23rd round: (4 SC, DEC)6 (30) 24th round: (3 SC, DEC)6 (20)
25th round: (2 SC, DEC)6 (18) 26th round: (1 SC, DEC)6 (12)
27th round: 6 DEC (6)
Make decreases until the hole is completely closed.
Cut the yarn, leaving a 10-15 cm tail. Neatly hide the yarn end inside the piece using a needle.

FRONT LEGS (make two pieces)
1st round: CH 2, 7 SC into the second chain (7)
Rounds 2-8: 7 SC (7)
Stuffing is optional.
Fold the piece in half, crochet 4 SC (to close the opening).
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

EARS (make two pieces)
1st round: CH 2, 6 SC into the second chain (6)
2nd round: 6 INC (12)
3rd round: (1 SC, INC)6 (18) Rounds 4-6: 18 SC (18) 7th round: (1 SC, DEC)6 (12)
Rounds 8-9: 12 SC (12)
10th round: (2 SC, DEC)*3 (9)

If you fold the ears in half and sew them to the top of the head, you will get a bunny.

To make a dog, sew the ears on the sides approximately between the 3rd and 4th rows.

Amigurumi Doggie crochet muzzle

Crochet using plush yarn or Alize Softy yarn held double.

1st round: CH 4. Then crochet around this chain in a circle, similar to how you would crochet the sole of baby booties.
2nd round: INC in the 2nd stitch from the hook, 1 SC, 3 SC into one stitch, 2 SC (8)
3rd round: 2 INC, 1 SC, 3 INC, 1 SC, INC (14)
4th round: 14 SC
5th round: (5 SC, DEC)*2 (12)
Embroider the nose or attach a plastic one.
Stuff slightly.

Crochet using white Alize Softy yarn held single.
1st round: CH 2, 6 SC into the second chain (6)
2nd round: 6 INC (12)
3rd round: (1 SC, INC)*6 (18)
4th round: 18 SC
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing the piece.

Embroider the nose or attach a plastic one.
Stuff slightly.

Assembling the toy is very quick and easy since the body is in one piece. Sew on the legs, ears, and muzzle.

Place the eyes between the 5th and 6th rows. Embroider the eyebrows.

Tie a ribbon or crochet a scarf around the neck (the author used simple DC stitches).
The toy is ready!
